Mothering Sunday in the sun.

We often seem to be in Spain on Mothering Sunday. I really miss my children but we will soon be home and will catch up properly with lots of lovely times to share.

It is a funny old day really because of the generation sandwich. It means you are, of course a Mum. My favourite name. And, I am loving witnessing the lovely new mums in the family. But of course if your Mum has died you really do miss her. The years pass but the memories linger, quiet, sweet and gentle

There are some lovely ladies here who have come to mean a great deal to us. They are such special friends. Some do not have their children here either. I like just to say I value their friendship and love very much on Mothering Sunday

Only little gifts. Tokens just to say "Thank You" for the little things which make such a difference to our life here every day.

A little sock buttonhole.

 

A pair of socks folded and tucked into a sweet cupcake wrapper. I will add cellophane and a pretty bow.

 

The same idea but this time a face cloth is folded and tucked inside with a little paper flower to top it off.

 

And the last little cupcake is a hand knitted dishcloth. I love these so much.

 

For one very special lady who is always there for me a little bag of goodies. A special thanks to her as she has invited us for a meal. Of course she s not my Mum ... You only get one of those . But, what a lovely friend. She actually thinks about me just like my mum used to.

 

A little blankety owl. A heart in her favourite colour and a small spray from Aveda. If you have never seen them have a look for them, they smell divine.

All tucked in a little bag with lots of love from ME!
